Ultra ThinLine is best for riders with good seats and balanced horses. Once riders have learned to sit close and quiet and the horses have begun using their backs well, the Ultra ThinLine pad provides additional benefits. The pad will further stabilize the rider and the saddle. The Ultra ThinLine actually INCREASES the volume of the seat bones while they are in contact with the pad but dissipates the noise of sudden movement. Olympic riders report higher marks in extended and medium paces with this pad as well as the ability to ride with lighter signals from their seats. Jumpers and hunters keep their mounts round and relaxed with this pad. The larger flaps of the Contour pad provide more protection under the stirrup bars for the horse when landing off big fences.  

This pad is best for well fitting or custom fitted saddles as it is too thin to alter correct fit.  Use on top of your regular saddle pad, directly underneath the saddle.  This pad will mold to your horse's shape when warmed to body temperature, and does flex and move with horse so there is no pinching or pulling across the withers or spine. This pad is available in black or white, untrimmed or trimmed with a matching color cotton binding.  The trim is for looks only and does not effect performance. 

The regular contour pad measures 25” across, 21” long, and 13.75” seat and as a general rule, fits most english saddles up to a 17.5", however due to saddle and brand variety, please measure your saddle to ensure proper fit.  Your saddle panels should not exactly measure or be larger than the ThinLine pad.  If your panels are larger than these pad dimensions or your saddle is 18" or more, purchase the large contour pad, which is 2" longer and wider.
